Blockbuster trials involving financial disputes of £50 million or more will have their own court under reforms to attract international litigation, England’s most senior judge said last night. Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, the Lord Chief Justice, said that the financial “list” or specialist court, which would provide a faster and more efficient venue, is intended to seal London’s reputation as the centre of global litigation.
