Next week a mega-merger between Dentons and leading Chinese firm Dacheng will create the largest law firm in the world by headcount - 6,600 lawyers. The tie-up will operate under a Swiss verein structure.
This is yet another example of consolidation within the legal sector and this massive global deal is further evidence of how law firms are evolving to provide clients with a better service that is increasingly international in its scope.
In our survey of over half the UK top 200 law firms, an overwhelming majority of firms predicted that there will be significant further consolidation in the sector in the coming years. There are many lessons to be learnt from those mergers, both successful and otherwise, that have already taken place. Our research aims to open up this debate and explore how the shape of the top end of the profession will change in five years' time. To learn more about our event, please visit http://bit.ly/1IuXKnR
